We are looking for a positive team leader for our Auto Body repair shop. Responsibilities include and not limited to: Have the ability to read and analyze CCC management reports to meet goals and business projections. In person Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Auto Appraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, with the ability to analyze vehicle conditions and provide accurate appraisals. This role involves evaluating vehicles for insurance claims, sales, and restoration purposes, ensuring that all assessments are thorough and precise. The Auto Appraiser will also be responsible for negotiating repair costs and collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate the appraisal process. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to assess their condition and value. Analyze vehicle history reports and previous service records to inform appraisals. Negotiate repair costs with auto body shops and service providers to ensure fair pricing. Prepare detailed appraisal reports that document findings and recommendations. Collaborate with insurance companies, clients, and automotive professionals to discuss appraisals and necessary repairs. Stay updated on industry trends, vehicle values, and emerging technologies in automotive service and repair. Provide expert advice on auto restoration projects, including parts sourcing and labor estimates. Maintain accurate records of appraisals conducted and follow up on outstanding claims or negotiations. Qualifications Proven experience in automotive service management or a related field. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair or auto body repair. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate vehicle conditions effectively. Proficient in underwriting practices related to vehicle appraisals. Experience in service writing is preferred but not mandatory. Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for all parties involved. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in reporting findings. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
