Job Description
SUMMARY:
Complete field inspections to prepare accurate auto repair estimates. Review and finalize AI-generated estimates, including conducting field inspections when necessary to verify vehicle damage, repair methods, and associated costs. Ensure all estimates comply with company guidelines, industry standards, and insurance carrier requirements while delivering excellent customer service throughout the claims process.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct vehicle damage inspections at repair facilities, tow yards, residences, and other field locations
- Write detailed repair estimates using proper repair procedures in accordance with company guidelines and industry standards
- Review, validate, and complete AI-generated estimates for accuracy and completeness
- Identify prior damage, unrelated damage, and potential total loss conditions
- Assign appraisals timely to outside vendors where needed
- Prepare supporting documentation for estimates, including taking photographs, completing forms, diagrams, and other required documentation
- Communicate effectively with claimants, insureds, repair facility personnel, insurance company representatives, and vendors regarding repair processes and estimate details
- Negotiate repair costs and prepare supplements when additional damage is identified
- Handle inbound and outbound phone calls related to assigned claims
- Maintain accurate claim files and timely status updates within company systems
- Maintain and execute a timely schedule before, during, and after completion of repairs
- Stay current on repair techniques, vehicle technology, and estimating software
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies
- Review subcontractor estimates and photos to identify and implement any necessary reductions or adjustments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
:- Previous experience as an Auto Damage Appraiser, Auto Estimator, or Claims Adjuster preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle construction, repair procedures, and estimating systems such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex preferred
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments efficiently
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to appointment locations
- State Appraiser/Adjuster license preferred
- Proficiency with mobile devices, digital photography, and computer-based estimating systems We use automated systems to help screen applications.
