Job Description

Overview Are you a skilled automotive mechanic ready to step off the shop floor and into a professional office environment—without leaving your mechanical expertise behind? We are seeking Mechanical Claims Analysts to join a growing customer contact team. In this role, you'll use your hands-on automotive knowledge to evaluate and adjudicate mechanical claims, working closely with dealerships and vehicle owners. This is an excellent opportunity to transition from physical repair work into a stable, career-focused role with long-term growth potential. What You'll Do As a Mechanical Claims Analyst, you will use your technical expertise and customer service skills to support warranty claim decisions and guide customers through the claims process.
Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate, investigate, and adjudicate mechanical claims related to engines, transmissions, and electrical systems Take inbound calls from: Dealerships requesting approval for vehicle repairs based on warranty coverage guidelines Vehicle owners seeking clarification on approved or denied claims Vehicle owners needing guidance on next steps for diagnosing and quoting repairs Clearly explain approvals, denials, and claim processes to both technical and non-technical callers Provide empathetic, solution-oriented customer service via phone and email Maintain accurate electronic records using internal claims systems Follow established processes while upholding standards of fairness, accuracy, and integrity Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure consistent claim decisions Required Skills & Experience Automotive Mechanical Knowledge At least 2-3 years of hands-on automotive repair experience or equivalent technical experience Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, and electrical systems Customer Service Skills Comfortable handling high-volume inbound calls Able to explain complex mechanical concepts clearly and professionally Technical Skills Basic computer proficiency Ability to navigate multiple systems and monitors simultaneously Willingness to complete a basic typing assessment High school diploma or GED required Preferred Qualifications ASE Certification (strong plus) Bilingual in English & Spanish (preferred) Prior experience in a dealership, claims adjudication, or customer-facing mechanical role Training & Onboarding 2 weeks of formal, in-office training 2 additional weeks of shadowing and supported call handling 1-2 months fully in-office post-training Transition to hybrid schedule (2 days in office / 3 days remote) once fully ramped
Work-from-Home Requirements:
Reliable high-speed internet (hard-wired connection required) Dedicated workspace capable of supporting up to 4 monitors
Schedule & Availability Weekdays:
8:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM
  • 6:00
PM Saturdays:
8:00 AM
  • 3:00 PM (typically once per month ) Option to take a weekday float day or Saturday overtime (preferred) Must have open availability between 7:00 AM
  • 8:00 PM for potential future shift adjustments Initial training schedule: 8:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM Work Environment Professional, casual corporate setting Call center environment Individual cubicles Phone-based role for the majority of the day Why This Role?

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00
  • $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
