Job Description
Are you an experienced automotive mechanic looking to transition off the shop floor and into an office-based role? A leading automotive services organization is seeking Mechanical Claims Analysts to join a growing customer contact team. In this role, you'll leverage your hands-on mechanical expertise to evaluate and process vehicle repair claims, assist dealerships and customers, and ensure claims are handled accurately and fairly. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, investigate, and adjudicate mechanical claims using established guidelines Apply in-depth knowledge of engines, transmissions, and electrical systems to determine claim eligibility Handle inbound calls from: Dealerships verifying coverage for required vehicle repairs Vehicle owners seeking clarification on approved or denied claims Vehicle owners requesting guidance on next steps for repair authorization Clearly explain claim decisions and repair processes to both technical and non-technical callers Provide empathetic, professional customer service while resolving complex issues Document all claim activity accurately using internal computer systems Collaborate with team members and leadership to maintain high standards of fairness and quality Required Qualifications Automotive mechanical experience: Minimum of 2-3 years hands-on automotive repair or related technical experience Knowledge of engine, transmission, and electrical repairs is required Strong customer service and verbal communication skills Ability to remain professional and composed when handling challenging or irate callers Basic computer proficiency; must be willing to complete a typing assessment High school diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications ASE Certification (strongly preferred) Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Experience using labor guides (e.g., AllData - not required) Experience using diagnostic scan tools (not required) Pay Rate Tiers (Based on Experience)
New Graduate:
$25/hr Limited Experience (1-3 years): $27/hr Some Experience (3-5 years): $28/hr Retail Dealership Experience with ASE (2+ certifications): $30/hr Master Mechanic (ASE A1-A8): $31/hrMax Tier:
$33/hr (Master Mechanic + Claims Adjudication experience) Final pay rate is determined by the Mechanical Claims team following the interview process.Schedule & Work Environment Training:
2 weeks of formal, fully in-office training Followed by ~2 weeks of shadowing and supported call handlingPost-training:
1-2 months fully in-office Transition to hybrid schedule (2 days in-office / 3 days remote)Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday:
8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pmSaturday:
8:00am-3:00pm (typically once per month) Overtime available on Saturdays (preferred) After 90 days, shift times may change within operating hours (8:00am-9:00pm)Work Environment Includes:
Casual, corporate call center setting Dedicated cubicle High phone volume throughout the day Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
