This position plays a critical role in ensuring vehicles, machinery, and equipment meet all state safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on automotive experience, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. This is a paid position with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced and professional work environment. Responsibilities Perform thorough inspections of vehicles, machinery, and equipment to ensure compliance with state regulations and safety standards Diagnose mechanical issues using hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment Conduct maintenance checks, auto body evaluations, and restoration inspections as needed Accurately document inspection findings, violations, repairs, and compliance records Identify unsafe conditions and recommend necessary repairs or corrective actions Provide technical support and guidance to automotive repair teams when needed Stay up to date on state regulations, inspection standards, and automotive repair practices Requirements Previous experience in automotive repair, mechanical inspection, or vehicle maintenance Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures Experience with auto body repair or vehicle restoration is a plus Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment Knowledge of automotive service standards and workplace safety regulations Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and reliability Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records Preferred Qualifications Prior inspection OR compliance-related experience Valid driver's license Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Pay:
$10.00 - $18.00 per hour
