Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a Collision Estimator, where your expertise will drive exceptional customer service and streamline the repair process. In this vital role, you will assess vehicle damage accurately, prepare detailed estimates, and coordinate repairs with our skilled technicians. Your automotive knowledge and keen eye for detail will ensure customers receive transparent, fair, and efficient service. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of automotive collision repair, combining technical skills with outstanding customer care to deliver top-tier results. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess extent of collision-related repairs. Prepare detailed and accurate auto estimates using industry-standard estimating software. Communicate clearly with customers about repair procedures, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency. Collaborate with service technicians and body shop staff to coordinate repair schedules and parts procurement. Upsell additional services such as alignments, oil changes, or tire services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and shop revenue. Handle all aspects of service writing, including documenting repairs, creating work orders, and managing documentation for insurance claims. Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions to ensure smooth workflow and accountability. Experience Proven dealership experience or auto service management background preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and other key vehicle components. Hands-on mechanic experience or service technician background is highly advantageous. Familiarity with auto estimating tools and software used in collision repair settings. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex repair details clearly and professionally. Experience in auto body repair processes including air brake systems, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, tire services, diesel engine repairs, and oil changes. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage administrative tasks efficiently. Knowledge of automotive sales techniques and upselling strategies to maximize shop profitability. $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
