About the Role Are you a driven banking professional with a passion for leadership, sales growth, and community impact? We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Rocklin team. In this pivotal role, you will direct the daily operations of a full-service branch, champion our customer-first culture, and drive core deposit growth. What You Will Do Team Leadership & Development Build the
Team:
Hire, train, and develop a high-quality staff, ensuring the branch is properly skilled and staffed to deliver top-tier customer service. Coach for
Success:
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, annual performance reviews, and active coaching sessions to support your team's career goals and sales techniques.
Manage Performance:
Oversee schedules, approve timecards, and promptly address performance management situations to maintain an effective, motivated team of 2 or more direct reports.
Sales Leadership & Business Development Drive Growth:
Develop and execute strategic sales plans, community networking initiatives, and targeted outbound efforts to generate new accounts and deposit growth.
Deepen Relationships:
Coach the team to actively profile customers, understand their complete financial picture, and cross-sell relevant bank products and services.
Collaborate:
Partner with the Area Manager, SVP Regional Sales Manager, and loan departments to execute joint marketing plans and facilitate small business credit opportunities.
Operations & Compliance Excellence Ensure Compliance:
Maintain strict adherence to all state and federal banking regulations, as well as internal bank policies, operating procedures, and safety protocols.
Financial Oversight:
Monitor branch trends via daily dashboards (deposit base, transaction counts, cost of funds), implement cost controls, and ensure compliance with branch budgets.
Daily Operations:
Direct day-to-day activities, approve large deposits/withdrawals, review NSF/overdraft reports, and partner with operations staff to complete monthly certification packages.
Customer Experience & Community Relations Elevate Service:
Create a warm, welcoming environment. Lead by example to provide superior customer service, resolve complex account issues proactively, and successfully manage branch mystery shops.
Community Impact:
Actively participate in professional and civic organizations (e.g., Rotary, Chamber of Commerce).
Volunteer:
Complete a minimum of 10 compensated CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) volunteer hours annually during business hours to support local initiatives.
What You Bring Experience:
Minimum of 7 years in a branch banking environment, with at least 5 years in branch management and 3 years managing complex business and consumer accounts.
Track Record:
Proven, documented sales ability and a history of driving branch growth.
Leadership Skills:
Deep experience in team building, hiring, training, and performance management.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a diplomatic approach to problem-solving.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and modern banking programs.
Flexibility:
Ability to work flexible hours, occasionally beyond standard scheduled times.
Requirements:
A current California driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage for business use.
Bonus:
Active Notary Public designation is highly preferred.
