Branch Supervisor

To direct the operations of a remote Credit Union facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth plans. Managing the needs of members, regulators and audit professionals, and other support staff while keeping the branch maintained. 30% Monitors daily operations including oversight of all things facility maintenance related, ensure tasks are completed within policy, procedure, and regulation to maintain cohesion across all branches. Ensure all branch activities are in compliance with established Credit Union policies and procedures. 25% Accepts consumer loan applications and supporting documentation for processing within structured guidelines to ensure compliance with policy, regulation, and other underwriting requirements. Works directly with underwriting staff to ensure expedited processing of loan applications. Educates members on all types of loan products and looks for opportunities for ancillary product sales to expand member relationships. 15% Facilitates the opening of new memberships and sub-accounts. Complies with MIP and internal audit processes. Completes required monthly audits of teller drawers, branch cash, ATM, TCR and coin machine as well as any others that may be required and submit for operational review. 15% Hires future staff and conducts annual employee reviews. Trains and monitors the work of branch personnel, providing regular feedback required to continue team development. Allocates resources to meet daily operational needs along with utilizing downtime to ensure completion of administrative tasks for your branch as well as the Credit Union. Maintain confidentiality with all member and personnel information. 5% Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations, suppliers, other financial institutions, and the community. Attendance and participation in after-hours and/or weekend events is required. Participates in marketing and business development activities. 5% Maintains communications with the main office promoting a cohesive working relationship between both locations. Prepares and submits standard reports and attends all regularly scheduled meetings. 5% Performs other job duties as assigned. 1. Maintain a cohesive, highly trained, motivated staff sufficient to meet daily branch demands. 2. Provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates. 3. Work within annual plans for branch operating and growth while maintaining or improving the stability of the branch. 4. Work with promotional team to develop and maintain business partner relationships with the community and area schools by calling on potential SEGs and coordinating branch participation in community activities. 5. Effectively evaluate the efficiency of the branch and develop specific recommendations for improvements to personnel, facilities, products, pricing, policies, and processes. 6. Meet or exceed the established branch goals each month and ensure direct reports achieve 100% of their individual goals. 7. Promote a sales culture within the branch by example. Coach and develop employees to identify cross sales opportunities. 8. Ensure recovery of all critical branch functions for business contingency within recovery times set by business constraints or disaster recovery plan as assigned. 9. Observe employee performance, give and receive feedback quarterly, complete performance reviews within the prescribed time frames. Experience Two years to five years of similar or related experience. Education High School Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience. Interpersonal Skills The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation, internally and/or externally, is an important part of the job. Other Skills Previous Credit Union and supervisory experience preferred. Physical Requirements Required to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time; repetitive motion and finger dexterity; manual dexterity to input data on keyboard; able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion; close and distant vision required. Work Environment Noise level is quiet; office-type environment; no unpleasant and/or hazardous conditions.
