Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the assigned branch within Park and Wiseway Supply. They oversee day-to-day operations, manage staff, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive sales growth in line with company objectives.Responsibilities:
Financial Management/P&L Income Statement:
Develop and manage the branch budget, including revenue forecasts, expenses, and capital expenditures. Monitor operational financial performance against budget and implement corrective actions as needed. Analyze financial reports and metrics to assess branch profitability and identify opportunities for improvement.Sales and Business Development/Annual Assigned KPI's:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets. Identify new business opportunities and potential customers within the branch's territory. Drive profitable counter sales growth. Build and maintain relationships with key customers, and suppliers. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales and marketing efforts and provide feedback to the Senior Leadership and Executive Team.Branch Operations Management:
Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including inventory management, order processing, shipping, and receiving. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess branch performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.Staff Management and Development:
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise branch staff, including counter sales, customer service, warehouse personnel and drivers. Provide ongoing coaching, support, and performance feedback to branch staff. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration. Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues or disciplinary matters as needed.Customer Service and Satisfaction:
Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction by promptly addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve issues and improve customer experience. Identify opportunities to enhance customer service processes and procedures.Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Implement and enforce company policies related to safety, security, and risk management. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and mitigate risks.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, distribution, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in wholesale distribution or a related industry, with a track record of success in branch management or similar roles. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics operations. Familiarity with sales and marketing principles and techniques. Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and solve problems effectively.Working Conditions:
The role typically involves working in both an office and warehouse environment and potentially occasional visits to customer locations. May require working extended hours or weekends to meet business needs. Travel within the branch's territory, to company events or to suppliers may be required.Physical Requirements:
Work in a warehouse setting; some outdoor exposure during the workday; temperature is not controlled Required to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 70 pounds Must be able to push/pull pallet jack or cart weighing up to 350lbs. Able to perform repeated motions of bending, squatting, stooping, and standing, including motion of moving up and down a ladder, removing a product from warehouse shelves, repetitively reaching and lifting above head and shoulders, and stabilizing on mode of delivery via two-wheel dolly or carrying by hand.
