Job Description
TFed Credit Union is looking for an individual who is passionate about member service and experienced in banking to join our team as an Assistant Branch Manager. This role is a full-time, on-site position that includes Saturday coverage.
Role:
Senior member service employee who is knowledgeable of Credit Union products and services and all policies and procedures. Performs all member service duties. Provides training and direction to subordinate staff. Able to research and resolve member problems with minimal assistance. Assists the Branch Manager in daily oversight of the retail and teller departments. Consistently meets sales goals and participates in promotions. Cross sell Credit Union products and services; participate in regular promotions.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
E 20% Reviews, schedules, trains, and monitors the work of branch personnel: allocates resources to meet operational needs within the department; reviews and approves, denies, or modifies department recommendations from subordinates. E 15% Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions. E 15% Performs account servicing and account opening for members/prospective members of the Credit Union. Guides employees on proper procedures and policies for account servicing and account opening. Stays abreast on Credit Union changes regarding procedures and policies and relays urgent changes to branch staff. E 15% Underwrites consumer loans up to the amount assigned per Credit Union policy; reviews and approves underwriting decisions of subordinate personnel. E 10% Maintains communications with main office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings. E 10% Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions and similar groups. E 5% Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established Credit Union policies and procedures. E 5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.Performance Measurements:
1. Maintain a cohesive, highly trained, motivated staff sufficient to meet daily branch demands. 2. Provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates. 3. Effectively evaluate the efficiency of the branch and develop specific recommendations for improvements to personnel, facilities, products, pricing, policies, and processes. 4. Assist indirect reports to achieve 80% of their individual goals. 5. Promote a sales culture within the branch by example. Coach and develop employees to identify cross sales opportunities. 6. Ensure recovery of all critical branch functions for business contingency within recovery times set by business constraints or disaster recovery plan. 7. Note observations of employee performance. Give and receive feedback from employee on the same no later than 1 working day of an incident, completing meetings within the prescribed timeframe.Knowledge and Skills:
Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
