Branch Manager

Purity Cylinder Gases is an independent, family owned and operated industrial gas and welding supply distributor with 17 locations throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana. Since 1938, we have been committed to providing superior quality products and service to customers among multiple industries such as manufacturing, construction, food processing, healthcare, and many more. The Branch Manager will provide leadership to the Gaylord, Michigan location. This position will be responsible for supporting inside and outside sales to meet customer needs, managing all staff at that location, managing inventory levels, and promoting a safe collaborative work environment. This will be a hands-on management position where you will work directly with customers and employees to ensure all aspects of sales and operations are functioning well. This position includes a very competitive compensation package that includes a competitive salary and a quarterly bonus program. Major Functions:

Support the customer service representatives and outside sales force in servicing existing & prospective customers in a timely manner. Manage the development of and effectively coach employees. Lead weekly meetings to promote communication across departments and share goals and operational metrics. Manage inventory levels. Promote a safe work environment. Perform periodic performance reviews with employees and coach employees with the support/guidance of Corporate HR.

Qualifications Needed:

A minimum of 3-5 years of managerial experience in an industrial setting is required. Must possess leadership and supervisory skills. Must be able to promote teamwork and motivate in a positive manner by leading meetings effectively and efficiently. Must possess problem solving and decision-making ability. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products. Ability to effectively manage and communicate personnel issues. This position may have to occasionally backup a local route driver, therefore a CDL or willingness to obtain a CDL with proper endorsements needed.
