Job Description

Position Summary:
The Branch Manager role in our Grand Rapids, MI location is responsible for leading all operational aspects of the branch, including Pro Center operations, warehouse management, inventory control, and delivery coordination. This role drives operational performance, ensures a best-in-class customer experience, and develops a high-performing team. This is a working manager role requiring a hands-on, lead-from-the-front approach. The Branch Manager is expected to actively support daily warehouse operations as needed—including physical tasks—while maintaining overall leadership and accountability for branch performance. This leader will play a key role in the launch and ongoing success of the Pro Center, while ensuring warehouse operations remain efficient, safe, and accurate. Key Responsibilities Operations & Performance Lead day-to-day operations across Pro Center, warehouse, and delivery functions Work alongside team members to ensure workflows are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards Monitor and drive performance against key metrics (inventory accuracy, productivity, service levels, safety) Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness Pro Center Leadership Oversee the launch and ongoing operations of the Pro Center Ensure a high level of service for contractors and customers, including order accuracy and responsiveness Partner with sales teams to support customer needs and drive growth Warehouse & Inventory Management Support and oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping Participate in operational tasks as needed, including creating customer orders, shipping/receiving freight, loading/unloading product, and putting away inventory Maintain strong inventory control practices, including cycle counts and variance resolution Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inbound and outbound shipments People Leadership Hire, train, and develop team members across Pro Center and warehouse operations Set clear expectations, provide coaching, and manage performance Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Safety & Compliance Actively promote and model safe work practices while performing warehouse duties Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable safety regulations Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment Customer Experience Ensure a positive and consistent customer experience across all touchpoints Address and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner Qualifications 5-8+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, retail, or operations environments 3-5+ years of direct people management experience Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety practices Ability to perform physical job functions, including regular lifting, moving product, and working in a warehouse environment Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Preferred:
