In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, support and develop your team, drive exceptional customer service, and ensure the branch operates safely and efficiently. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead and support branch operations to achieve performance goals and customer satisfaction. Supervise, develop, and motivate branch staff while fostering a positive team environment. Ensure efficient workflow across warehouse, yard, customer service, and delivery operations. Maintain strong communication between branch staff, leadership, and other departments. Oversee warehouse organization, inventory flow, and operational efficiency. Promote and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and compliance standards. Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations. Resolve customer concerns quickly while delivering exceptional service. Support sales growth through customer engagement, house account management, and branch promotions. Manage branch administrative responsibilities including approvals, reporting, reviews, scheduling, and timekeeping. Lead branch safety meetings and maintain a culture focused on workplace safety. Maintain facility cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment upkeep. Assist with daily operational tasks as needed, including customer support, deliveries, and order processing. Act as a liaison between sales, customer service, vendors, manufacturers, and branch operations. Communicate urgent operational, employee, customer, or safety concerns to upper management promptly. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams. Knowledge of warehouse operations, branch workflows, and product organization. Understanding of company policies, operational procedures, and compliance requirements. Effective customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Basic business acumen and understanding of operational performance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/business systems such as Eclipse. Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive branch culture. Ability and willingness to travel occasionally as needed. Education, Experience, Licenses Bachelor's degree, technical school education, or equivalent experience preferred. 2+ years of related leadership or operational experience preferred. Experience in warehouse, operations, customer service, or distribution environments strongly desired. Powered industrial equipment certification or ability to obtain certification required. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required. Physical Demands & Work Environment This role combines office responsibilities with active involvement throughout the branch and warehouse environment. Regular walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and equipment interaction are expected. The Branch Manager plays an active role in daily operations while maintaining a safe, professional, and team-focused workplace. Occasional travel may be required.
