Job Description

The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for providing superior member experience while leading a team of member advisors. The supervisor directs the day-to-day operations of the branch, including cash needs and a variety of member service functions involving accurate handling of money, resolving account-related problems, and assisting members in utilizing our products and services. This position will thrive in a fast-passed, member- focused environment and set SCFCU apart from the competition by making a meaningful difference with members, representing the credit union in a positive and professional manner. The Assistant Branch Manager helps to position member advisors for success by fostering a positive work environment where team members are encouraged and motivated to achieve their maximum potential and participates actively on the leadership team.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Lead the branch team toward our vision through core values, member relationship building, and fostering an enthusiastic employee environment. Make meaningful connections with members by assisting with opening accounts, consumer lending, problem resolution, recommendation of products and services, cross-selling opportunities. Hire, direct and develop branch personnel. Lead by example. Administer ongoing performance discussions and evaluations. Allocate staff resources to meet member and operational needs under the direction of branch leader. Monitor brand operations to ensure they are in compliance with credit union policies and procedures. Actively participate and communicate with leadership team. Represent the branch appropriately in relationships with members, vendors, community groups. Maintain community involvement to meet business plan goals.
Performance Measurements:
1. To lead toward our vision through leadership of core values and a superior member experience. 2. To maintain a cohesive, highly trained, and enthusiastic staff that provides extraordinary service to members in a positive and professional manner. 3. To actively participate on the leadership team and keep leaders informed of key operating issues affecting the branch. 4. To provide knowledgeable, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and employees. 5. To effectively maintain the branch's cash supply and ticket inventories within limits established by the credit union; and balance vaults, ATMs, recyclers, and dispensers. 6. To obtain and maintain thorough knowledge of all procedures, policies, and regulations that affect the branch. 7. To report any suspicious activity, as outlined in the credit union's Bank Secrecy Act policy, to the credit union's designated BSA officer. Experience Three to Five year of banking experience required. Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Other Skills Specific knowledge of member service policies, procedures, products, and services is essential. Excellent customer service, communication, and management skills are essential. Ability to promote a team environment and sales/service culture. Strong ability to reason, solve problems, and make decisions. Complete knowledge of all software and systems used in the branch.
Pay:
$53,684.00 - $67,100.00 per year
