Position Overview:
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient processes and full compliance with all regulations. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of new accounts, teller services, vault management, safe deposit functions, and IRA products.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all branch operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, coaching and performance management. Lead in a manner that fosters a positive, productive, and customer-focused environment. Build and maintain strong customer relationships; identify opportunities for business development and branch growth. Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and internal procedures. Train, coach, and cross-train frontline staff to ensure operational excellence and service consistency. Enforce risk-management practices to minimize losses and ensure procedural adherence. Serve as safe deposit custodian and provide notary services. Maintain vault and teller cash balances; manage currency orders and shipments. Assist with ATM balancing and outage research. Perform required audits on tellers and maintain controls for teller-line products and services. Process check orders, debit card requests, and gather information required to initiate wire transfers.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
5 years of banking experience, including supervisory or leadership roles (preferred). High School Diploma or GED required, additional education a plus. Leadership and delegation skills Strong leadership, delegation, and team-building skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills (oral and written). Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; willingness to attend continuing education courses related to the role. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
