Job Description

Job Summary:
Local community-focused bank is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a lending/management position in its Petal branch. Candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of commercial and consumer accounts as well as assuming some management responsibilities at the branch location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interview loan applicants, collect and analyze financial data to determine the credit worthiness of prospective borrowers. Establish and negotiate terms under which credit will be extended, including rates, loan structure, and collateral requirements based on borrower's financial status. Approve loans up to individual lending authority and prepare loan presentations to obtain approval from higher authorities as needed. Collect and analyze information which reflects the financial condition of existing loans through direct inspection, review of interim financial reports, personal interview, and various other methods. Monitor loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect past-due accounts. Develop new business relationships by contacting prospective customers and cross-selling bank services. Ensure all loans are made and maintained in compliance with applicable regulations and internal loan policy standards. Manage branch operations to include, but not limited to, cash requirements, cash audits, overdrawn account collection, and supervising branch personnel. Participate in various community affairs to increase the bank's visibility and to create new business opportunities.
Education/Work Experience:
High school diploma or GED required Seconday education preferred Minimum of 2 years commercial and consumer lending experience required. Branch operations experience preferred. Must have good written and oral communication skills, good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
