3 Corning Credit Union is seeking a Branch Supervisor to join our Chemung County, NY team. Position Summary:
The Branch Supervisor is primarily responsible for providing the necessary vision and leadership to effectively operate and grow branch operations, while ensuring exceptional member service and a strong and cohesive team. Essential Job Duties Manages branch personnel and is responsible for elevating the professional level, competence, and knowledge of both new and existing team members. Creates and maintains a strong sales and service culture and holds the team accountable for reaching branch goals. Continually evaluates the quality of products and services offered and, through frequent and consistent service observation, the manner in which service is provided by branch personnel. Maintains hands-on working knowledge of deposit services and consumer lending to support high-quality service experiences and operational efficiency. Provides support within the operations, as needed, while also holding team members accountable for performance and sound decision-making. Anticipates operational needs and implements streamlined policies and procedures that ensure efficient branch operations, support a member-focused experience, and drive cost effectiveness. Serves as a change agent by embracing technological advancements and championing their effective integration within branch operations. Leads with a servant-leadership approach by developing staff and strengthening the team's professionalism, competence, and technical knowledge. Monitors and enforces proper dual control within the branches and has overall responsibility for maintaining compliance with internal controls. Responsible for maintaining the overall appearance of assigned branches, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming environment for members and staff. Works closely with the Facilities team as needed to identify, report, and follow up on maintenance, safety, and aesthetic issues. Works closely with other Branch and Lending Supervisors to coordinate scheduling needs across the member service areas, collaborating on member needs and issue resolution to ensure consistent and positive member experiences. Promotes a one team philosophy and requires team members to be flexible in assisting in other functions or areas, when necessary. Ensures compliance with federal and state rules, regulations, and laws, as they pertain to branch activities and compliance with applicable NCUA rules and regulations. Takes ownership of personal development by proactively seeking opportunities for coaching, training, and networking to ensure continued growth and success in the role. Effectively navigates and resolves personnel matters promoting a positive and productive work environment while ensuring alignment with the Credit Union's culture and standards. Also assumes responsibility for other projects and duties as required or assigned. Effectively manages stress in a constantly changing environment and works effectively within challenging or difficult situations. Has excellent judgment and the ability to make quick decisions and think creatively when working with complex member situations. Demonstrates a high level of flexibility. Forward thinking and possesses a business acumen. Possesses a high level of integrity and confidentiality and represents the Credit Union with the highest level of professionalism. Must possess strong analytical skills and be effective at interpreting and applying applicable regulation. Possesses strong computer skills and is experienced with various Microsoft programs including Excel. Education Requirements A Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or another related field is preferred. Commensurate work experience is also considered. Experience Requirements 3+ years of prior management experience required. Prior lending and/or business development experience preferred. Communication Skills Requirements The ability to read and comprehend moderate to advanced instructions and correspondence. The ability to write moderate to advanced correspondence within professional etiquette standards. The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations. Regular use of computer required. Regular use of fine motor skills required. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus from close range to long range. Compensation - The Branch Supervisor pay range is $65,000 to $90,000 per year. Hiring rates are dependent on several factors, including years of related work experience, education, and geographic location. Corning Credit Union also offers an annual bonus plan as part of its comprehensive compensation package.
