Summary Under general supervision, the individual will assist the Regional Branch Manager with the overall operation of the branch office and assume responsibility for front-line operations. Depending upon conditions, performs any combination of the duties outlined below. Duties and Responsibilities Oversees all branch-related tasks, providing guidance and direction to ensure strong service and operational performance. Keep the Regional Branch Manager informed of all activity in the assigned branch. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that shows confidence, confidentiality, and respect. Review, originate, and approve consumer and real estate loan applications, explaining different financing options and programs available. Qualify the applicant according to established underwriting guidelines. Prepare and process loan documents, review for accuracy, and arrange for disbursal. Responsible for developing and maintaining a member-centric culture• where employees are highly motivated, member-friendly, and well-trained. (•an approach to doing business that focuses on creating a positive experience for the member by maximizing service and/or product offerings and building relationships) Represent the credit union to the consumer in a courteous, professional manner, and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing transactions. Assist staff with complex transactions, balancing issues, scheduling, work assignments, sensitive member relations problems, or any transactional question that needs clarification. Assist in the development and evaluation of policies, procedures, and training and position descriptions for front-line operations with particular attention to the Bank Secrecy Act, Currency Transaction Reporting, Patriot Act, and robbery procedures, and effectively communicate regulatory requirements to staff. Conduct and/or assist with performance evaluations as appropriate. Conduct loan interviews, prepare and process loan documents, review for accuracy, and arrange for disbursal. Perform routine front-line transactions, including opening and maintaining existing accounts, processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing. Provide information in person, online, and by telephone on credit union products and services, policies and procedures, and membership eligibility. Assist members with questions relating to the function and servicing of their accounts and prepare correspondence to members concerning inquiries into transactions directly affecting them. Cross-sell credit union products and services based on consumer needs; explain various account and ownership options; provide counseling necessary to meet the needs and obtain required information. Responsible for the routine auditing of daily operations, including but not limited to account opening, address changes, and certificate renewals, to ensure compliance and accuracy Responsible for ordering and maintaining an adequate supply of vault teller cash, ATM cash, and supplies, front-line security, and daily balancing. Maintain knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations. Any other duties assigned by management. Skills, Abilities, and Qualities Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in a financial institution or an acceptable combination of education and experience necessary to perform each of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
