  • Full-time Job Summary BrightStar Care of Columbus, OH Full-Time, Salaried | $65,000 t0 $80,000/year | In-Person | Mondays thruFriday | Columbus, Ohio About the Role BrightStar Care of Columbus is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead day-to-day operations of our home care agency.
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing all programs and service lines in our office, including private duty home care, Medicaid waiver services, county levy-funded programs, and pediatric/behavioral health coordination. The ideal candidate brings deep, working knowledge of Ohio's home and community-based services landscape and has managed programs funded through county levies, Ohio Medicaid, and the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD). What You'll Do
  • Oversee all branch operations: scheduling, staffing, client intake, quality assurance, compliance, and P&L performance
  • Manage service delivery and billing across multiple funding sources, including county levy programs, Medicaid waivers, DODD waivers, and private pay
  • Serve as the agency's primary point of contact for Franklin County Senior Options and SourcePoint (Delaware County) levy programs, including provider requirements, referrals, authorizations, and reporting
  • Maintain compliance with Ohio DODD provider certification requirements, including documentation, training, and Major Unusual Incident (MUI) reporting
  • Administer participation in Ohio Medicaid HCBS waiver programs (e.g., PASSPORT, Ohio Home Care Waiver, MyCare Ohio), ensuring service plans, authorizations, and billing meet program rules
  • Coordinate services for youth enrolled in OhioRISE, working with care management entities (CMEs) and managed care partners on care plans and authorizations
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise office staff and field caregivers (RNs, LPNs, STNAs/HHAs, DSPs)
  • Build referral relationships with area agencies on aging, county boards of developmental disabilities, hospitals, discharge planners, and community organizations
  • Ensure survey readiness for state licensure, accreditation, and payer audits
  • Monitor KPIs including census growth, caregiver retention, authorization utilization, and gross margin by program What You'll Bring Required
  • 3+ years of management experience in home care, home health, or a related HCBS setting
  • Strong working knowledge of Ohio's home care funding landscape, including:
  • County senior services levy programs ó Franklin County Senior Options and SourcePoint (Delaware County) strongly preferred
  • Ohio DODD waiver programs and provider compliance requirements
  • Ohio Medicaid HCBS waivers (PASSPORT, Ohio Home Care Waiver, MyCare Ohio)
  • OhioRISE and coordination with care management entities
  • Experience managing multi-payer billing, authorizations, and documentation requirements
  • Proven ability to recruit, retain, and lead caregiving staff
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, social work, or related field
  • RN or LPN licensure (a plus, not required)
  • Experience with home care scheduling/EMR platforms (e.g., AlayaCare, WellSky, ABS)
  • Existing relationships with COAAA, Franklin County Office on Aging, SourcePoint, and county boards of DD Schedule & Compensation
  • Salary:
    $65,000 to $80,000 per year, commensurate with experien ó candidates with established knowledge of Senior Options, SourcePoint, DODD, Medicaid HCBS, and OhioRISE will be at the higher end of the range
