HVACDirect.com and Floorfactory.com are an industry leading, nationwide supplier of heating and cooling equipment that sells directly to consumers and contractors, aiming to provide wholesale-level pricing by cutting out traditional markups. They serve residential, commercial, and industrial clients with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions, including mini-splits, central systems, and boiler systems. HVACDirect.com is the Number One Retail seller of HVAC Equipment online nationally. They are now launching storefront HVACDirect.com stores nationwide. The HVACDirect.com and Floor Factory Stores are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and yet experienced Branch Managers. Or an experienced Assistant Manager that would want to go to the next level.
Position Summary:
A Branch Manager oversees all daily operational, financial, and technical functions of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning retail store location. The role bridges retail execution with corporate strategy, requiring strong leadership to manage counter staff, profit-and-loss margins and day-to-day operations. 1.
Core Operational & Technical Requirements Industry Experience:
Typically requires 5+ years of combined HVAC, trades, or Retail/Wholesale distribution experience, often starting as a technician or counter sales associate.
Technical Literacy:
In-depth knowledge of HVAC/R systems, flooring, advanced troubleshooting, and familiar with schematics, and industry regulations/local codes. Certifications like an EPA Universal Certification are highly preferred but not mandatory.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensuring the team follows OSHA regulations, local building codes, and safety standards. 2.
Leadership & Team Management Staff Supervision:
Recruiting, Onboarding, scheduling, and evaluating counter associates, warehouse staff.
Training & Coaching:
Mentoring employees to improve performance, master P & L's and develop future leaders within the company. 3. Business & Financial Management P&L /
Budgeting:
Managing Profit and Loss, tracking financial metrics, and driving retail store profitability.
Inventory Control:
Overseeing procurement, stock levels, cycle counts, forecasting, and reducing dead inventory or material discrepancies.
Invoicing & Admin:
Approving job estimates/quotes, managing billing, processing invoices, and reviewing daily sheets. 4.
Sales & Customer Service Account & Escalation Management:
Driving branch sales growth, implementing promotions, and stepping in to resolve escalated client complaints.
System Proficiency:
Using ERP systems, MS Office/Excel, and specialized dispatch software to maintain operational transparency. The Branch Manager is required to have: 1. HVAC technical Knowledge 2. HVAC Sales experience 3. And a little digital savvy and some social media experience Responsibilities include: 1. Managing a crew and leading them to reach monthly goals driving branch profitability from day one. While ensuring safety, Inventory control and retaining customer retention. 2. They will work with the corporate Manager on Profit & loss statements as well as balance and cash flow sheets 3. They will be expected to work at the counter and be the best at maneuvering through our software. 4. They will be responsible for managing the staff, warehouse and any deliveries as well as any day-to-day operations. 5. They will be required to help market the store through social media. Store Hours will be from 7:30-4:30 with possible Saturday 8-12:00 pm Why Join Us?
