JFK Branch Manager (Customs Broker License or CCS Required) | Hybrid work schedule A well-established freight forwarding and customs brokerage company is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead its JFK operation. This is a senior leadership role overseeing branch operations, compliance, financial performance, customer relationships, and team development across air import, customs brokerage, and freight forwarding operations. What's On Offer Salary up to $150,000 Hybrid schedule: 2 days in office / 3 days remote Senior leadership role with operational influence and autonomy Opportunity to lead an established JFK branch operation Strong long-term growth potential within the business Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all branch operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and service performance Oversee import compliance activities including HTSUS, ISF, EAR, ITAR, AD/CVD, Section 232/301, and related regulations Develop and maintain SOPs and branch audit/compliance programs Manage branch financial performance including P&L, budgeting, WIP, invoicing, and cost controls Negotiate rates and service agreements with carriers, truckers, and vendors Partner with sales teams to support customer growth and client relationships Act as the senior escalation point for operational and compliance matters Lead, mentor, and develop operational staff and future leadership talent Drive operational improvements through process development and technology Requirements Customs Broker License or CCS certification 5+ years of freight forwarding and import compliance experience Strong operational background in air imports, with some ocean and domestic exposure Previous management or branch leadership experience Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import procedures Experience with financial oversight, budgeting, and branch performance management CargoWise experience preferred Strong communication, leadership, and customer management skills
