2 Corning Credit Union is seeking a Branch Supervisor to join our Horry County, SC team. Position Summary:
The Horry County Branch Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading and optimizing branch operations to drive growth, deliver exceptional member service, and ensure consistent financial performance. This role provides day-to-day leadership, develops a high-performing team, and fosters strong member and community relationships. Essential Job Duties Manages day-to-day operations and drives growth strategies across the Horry County branches, ensuring consistent financial results and long-term success. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with new and existing members. Maintains hands-on working knowledge of deposit services and consumer lending to support high-quality service experiences and operational efficiency. Provides support within the operations, as needed, while also holding team members accountable for performance and sound decision-making. Leads with a servant-leadership approach by developing staff and strengthening the team s professionalism, competence, and technical knowledge. Creates a working environment that is conducive to two-way communication, teamwork, and learning. Recognizes the varying strengths, skills, and needs of the team and adapts coaching skills to obtain the best possible results from each individual within the branch. Utilizes open communication and managerial courage to ensure that the standards, expectations, and goals of the organization are respected and upheld. Creates and maintains a strong sales and service culture and holds the team accountable for reaching branch goals. Leads and participates in community outreach efforts, including local events and organizations, to strengthen the branch s presence and positive reputation. Collaborates with the Business Development Manager and Marketing team to support strategic initiatives that drive membership growth, lead generation, and new business opportunities. Stays informed on local competitor activities and market trends and consistently communicates key insights to ensure we remain competitive and responsive to the evolving needs of our members. Ensures compliance with federal and state rules, regulations, and laws, as they pertain to branch activities and compliance with applicable NCUA rules and regulations. Takes ownership of personal development by proactively seeking opportunities for coaching, training, and networking to ensure continued growth and success in the role. Also assumes responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assigned. Required Competencies Has the ability to lead effectively - from the front, the middle, and the back and has the managerial courage to move the branch and organization forward. Capable of working with a variety of personalities and can adapt their approach to effectively reach and develop their team. Uses this skill and their functional knowledge to earn and maintain a high level of credibility with the team. Possesses strong sales and member service skills. Demonstrates a business development mindset, with an emphasis on expanding the Credit Union s presence and relationships within the community. Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Has strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and delegate responsibilities. Effectively manages stress in a constantly changing environment and works effectively within challenging or difficult situations. Has excellent judgment and the ability to make quick decisions and think creatively when working with complex member situations. Demonstrates a high level of flexibility. Forward thinking and possesses a business acumen. Possesses a high level of integrity and confidentiality and represents the Credit Union with the highest level of professionalism. Possesses strong analytical skills and is effective at interpreting and applying applicable regulation. Holds solid knowledge of federal and state lending laws, including Reg Z and the Fair Housing Act. Possesses solid computer skills and is experienced with various Microsoft programs. Education Requirements A Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or another related field is preferred. Commensurate work experience is also considered. Experience Requirements 3+ years of prior management experience required. Prior lending and/or business development experience preferred. Communication Skills Requirements The ability to read and comprehend moderate to advanced instructions and correspondence. The ability to write moderate to advanced correspondence within professional etiquette standards. The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations. Regular use of computer required. Regular use of fine motor skills required.
