JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in developing retail and commercial business with the primary goal of meeting the client's comprehensive financial needs resulting in expanded market share and increased profitability. The Assistant Branch Manager will also assume responsibility for the branch in the manager's absence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Leads the branch in a professional manner through supervision and coaching of branch staff; develops personnel with regards to service expectations, policies, procedures, and products. Motivates staff to meet and exceed sales goals while maintaining exceptional customer service; clearly communicates performance expectations to each staff member and monitors performance. Establishes and maintains relationships with outside professionals in the community; develops and strengthens relationships through follow-up with clients and potential clients; generates and pursues sales leads through over-the counter sales and marketing campaigns. Garners extensive knowledge of retail services, products, and selling techniques to increase cross-sell ratios; refers qualified clients to specialized sales forces. Attends company meetings and communicates pertinent information to staff. Performs daily duties that include opening and closing accounts, account maintenance, and various transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, stop payments, and wire transfers. Maintains a working knowledge of relevant legislation and departmental policies as applicable and participates in personal and professional development; sets and achieves meaningful personal goals. Cross-sells services based on client needs to create value and develop profitable, long-term relationships; utilizes client relationship management system to track sales and service opportunities. Executes all of the duties and responsibilities of a Relationship Banker with regard to client transactions; delivers exceptional customer service to both staff and clients.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in business or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking or financial services. Strong knowledge of retail and commercial banking products and services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership and management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. General hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and Fridays 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM; long hours and weekend work expected on occasion; travel and reliable transportation are required.
