Full Charge Bookkeeper

Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our Fire Suppression team. Your expertise will support the organization's financial health by maintaining precise records, reconciling accounts, and payroll processes. Responsibilities Manage full cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing using Sage software. Perform general ledger accounting and ensure accurate journal entries in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Filing, scanning and archiving data Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and subsidiary ledgers regularly to maintain data integrity. Helping with month-end and year-end closing procedures, help with financial reports and supporting audit processes. Maintain detailed records of financial transactions using accounting Sage Software Certified Payroll reporting for State and Federal work Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy, including double-entry bookkeeping and 10-key typing. Skills Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP and governmental accounting standards. Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and maintain accurate general ledger records. Excellent math skills coupled with strong attention to detail for data entry Payroll processing from input to final processing, Alaska Labor Laws; union knowledge is helpful Accounts Payable processing from input to payment and account reconciliations Account Receivable for service invoicing and contract jobs Good communication and verbal skills
