We invite you to join our team of professionals at Homer Electric Association!
The Opportunity:
Homer Electric Association (HEA) is a member-owned electric utility serving the central and southern areas of the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska! We are excited to be seeking an Accounting Transition Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to: Provide transition support related to assigned accounting processes, reports, reconciliations, schedules, workflows, and historical practices. Provide training and mentoring to designated HEA personnel to support the transfer of accounting knowledge and continuity of recurring responsibilities. Provide limited advisory support regarding historical accounting treatment, account coding, prior practices, reports, schedules, or files within the employee's knowledge and experience. What makes you a good fit: Familiarity with HEA accounting process, systems, reports, or historical practices. Prior experience with accounting processes, reconciliations, financial reports, schedules, documentation, or related Finance Department workflows required. Education and experience that is in alignment with the position this role is tasked with providing transition support.
