Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented QuickBooks Certified Bookkeeper specializing in accounts payable and receivable to join our finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and streamline financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various accounting functions. As a key contributor, you will leverage your expertise in multiple accounting software platforms and financial concepts to support our organization's financial health and reporting excellence. Your proactive approach and technical skills will help us maintain precise records, reconcile accounts, and facilitate smooth financial workflows. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable processes by verifying, coding, and processing vendor invoices efficiently using QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or other accounting software. Oversee accounts receivable activities, including invoicing clients, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections. Perform bank reconciliations regularly to verify account balances against bank statements, ensuring accuracy across all financial accounts. Prepare journal entries, conduct general ledger accounting, and perform balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions, including debits & credits, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation. Assist with payroll processing and tax-related tasks by ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and accurate reporting. Support budgeting efforts by analyzing financial data to identify trends and discrepancies; contribute to financial report writing for internal and external stakeholders. Experience Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or accountant with a strong focus on accounts payable and receivable functions. Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks is essential; familiarity with Quicken, Xero, Sage, and other financial software is highly desirable. Solid understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices. Experience performing account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and double-entry bookkeeping. Knowledge of GAAP standards combined with practical experience in journal entries, account analysis, and financial report preparation. Familiarity with payroll processing, tax compliance procedures, and budget management is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
