Job Description
This position is responsible for coordinating the city's accounts payable operations. The work consists of related technical and customer service duties. Successful performance ensures the accuracy and efficiency of city financial transactions. FLSA status is Non-Exempt.
The following duties are normal for this classification. J ob duties require the ability to talk, express, or exchange ideas by means of spoken words and/or hear and perceive the nature of sounds by ear. J ob candidates must be able to adapt to and perform under moderate stress. J ob duties require regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

PROCUREMENT CARD PROCESSING
(40%) R econciles procurement card statements. M atches purchase orders and support for procurement transactions. A ssists department in collecting credits due.CHECK PROCESSING
(35%) M atches purchase orders and support for check runs. P repares and mails checks. C oordinates City department check and vendor pick up. P repares and records cashier check requests. R ecords ACH Processing.ACCOUNTS PAYABLE DUTIES
(15%) A nswers Accounts Payable questions for vendors and City departments. P repares accounts payable spreadsheet at year end. C ontacts City departments to update purchase orders to match invoices. E nters requisitions for various transactions.OTHER RELATED DUTIES
(10%) R etrieves files as requested. P erforms other duties as needed or assigned. F iles and requests certificate of liability. H igh School Diploma/GED is required. T wo (2) years' of experience in administrative support with an emphasis on finance, accounting, and customer service. P ossession of or the ability to readily obtain a specialty certification through the Government Finance Officers Association.The following requirements are normal for this classification.
