Job Description

Category Schools - Behavior Specialist Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to a vibrant educational environment where you'll positively impact students' lives. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate onsite with dedicated educators and school staff, supporting students' diverse behavioral and developmental needs throughout the academic year. You'll be a pivotal resource in assessing, developing, and implementing behavior intervention plans within school settings. Your work will ensure students receive the support they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Active BCBA certification and clear licensure required Demonstrated experience as a Behavior Specialist or similar school-based role Strong background in ABA methodologies and functional behavioral assessments Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families Ability to develop and monitor individualized behavior plans Commitment to fostering inclusive, positive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct behavioral assessments and analyze data to develop targeted intervention strategies Collaborate with school staff and families to implement evidence-based behavior support plans Provide direct consultation and coaching to teachers and paraprofessionals Maintain accurate records and prepare progress reports in accordance with school protocols Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional input on student-specific behavioral strategies Uphold ethical and best-practice standards set by the BACB What's in it for you?
