Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Provide foot care and/or wound care to residents in long-term care facilities Conduct thorough wound assessments and develop personalized care plans for each patient Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound care procedures as needed Continuously monitor and assess patients' progress in wound healing and foot health Educate patients and facility staff on effective wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and foot care best practices Travel to designated nursing homes in your area Communicate regularly with key facility staff, physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and optimize patient outcomes Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation Manage pain related to wounds to ensure patient comfort Maintain flexibility while seeing patients during weekday working hours
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program Current Nurse Practitioner license in Arkansas Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOCN) is preferred but not required Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care and/or foot care Strong clinical skills in assessment and treatment of wounds and foot conditions Independent, organized, and motivated to provide exceptional patient care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills If you're an experienced Nurse Practitioner ready to provide exceptional foot and wound care to long-term care residents on a part-time basis, we want to hear from you!
