In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. Your expertise will support our organization's financial health by handling a variety of bookkeeping tasks, including ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization that values precision, transparency, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is energetic, motivated, and passionate about maintaining impeccable financial records using advanced accounting software. Responsibilities Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software QuickBooks. Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy across all financial statements Record journal entries accurately. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to support financial integrity Assist with payroll processing and tax-related tasks to ensure compliance with governmental regulations Prepare detailed financial reports and assist in budgeting activities for various departments or projects Support audit preparations by organizing financial documents and providing necessary documentation for review Skills Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks. Experience with governmental accounting and non-profit accounting is a plus Knowledge of account analysis, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation processes Ability to perform account reconciliation with precision and attention to detail Familiarity with tax experience related to payroll, 1099s, or other filings preferred Excellent organizational skills including 10 key typing proficiency for data entry tasks Strong understanding of debits & credits, financial concepts, and technical accounting practices Capable of preparing clear financial report writing and supporting budgeting efforts This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting.
