Job Description

O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable company to find their next Accounting Clerk. This position is based in Anderson, CA. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and professional, with strong customer service and administrative skills. This individual should be comfortable handling billing transactions, customer inquiries, account reconciliation, and general office support in a fast-paced environment.
Accounting Clerk Compensation:
  • $20 - $21

Accounting Clerk Qualifications:
  • Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts receivable experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic accounting and recordkeeping knowledge
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and general office software
  • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work professionally with the public
Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:
  • Receive, process, and record work orders, payments, and billing transactions
  • Serve as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation of customer accounts
  • Respond to customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and in writing regarding District services and accounts
  • Resolve customer account issues including meter readings, delinquent accounts, service turn-ons/turn-offs, non-reads, and billing discrepancies
  • Assist customers at the counter while providing prompt and professional service
  • Maintain and update meter reading routes and billing cycle information
  • Review water usage reports and communicate findings to customers as needed
  • Operate office equipment and software systems to support daily operations
