Serving Santa Cruz County Property Management since 1972, we are currently seeking an energetic, organized, and self-driven Assistant Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting. Responsibilities Enter financial data and transactions Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered Receive payments, enter receipts Verify invoices for completeness and accuracy Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Document processes Perform month end tasks Phone reception General office work Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Must have a minimum of two years' experience Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance (preferred) Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial accounting principles Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software (Certification a plus and prefered) Highly organized with attention to detail Strong work ethics and the ability to work well with others Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Work closely with our management team Experience in the construction industry a plus Effective communication and interpersonal skills
