Job Responsibilities:

Review and process new customer applications and credit approvals for credit customers, determining appropriate credit limits and setting up new customer accounts accurately. Provide support to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and assist with various tasks within the department. Record and post daily cash receipts, including cash, checks, ACH, and wires, in the accounting system for assigned accounts. Proactively contact customers to address any collection issues and minimize bad debts. Take ownership of customer issues and work towards resolving them under AR Supervisor's instructions. Investigate, follow up and reconcile returns, chargebacks, and unknown payment deductions with customers. Maintain organized and accurate records for major and club customers' accounts, ensuring timely updates in the accounting system. Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) accounts and promptly communicate any discrepancies or potential problems to AR Supervisor. Ensure compliance with AR policies and procedures and report accordingly in a timely manner. Provide recommendations for improving the Accounts Receivable/Credit operations to AR Supervisor. Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly AR tasks promptly. Quickly grasp our company's system and operations.

Qualifications:

Minimum of an AA degree in accounting or business administration. 2+ years of experience working in AR accounting and collections. Experience dealing with big box retailers is preferred. Knowledge of MS Dynamics is preferred. A background in a similar merchandise industry is preferred.
