JOB STATEMENT
This hourly Finance Intern position provides hands-on exposure to finance and accounting operations by supporting routine reporting, reconciliations, data entry, analysis, and administrative tasks for the Finance team. The intern will assist with day-to-day departmental activities, learn company financial processes, and contribute to special projects under the direction of finance leadership
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Support the Finance team with data entry, filing, scanning, and organization of financial records and documents Assist with account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and supporting schedules under supervision Help prepare routine financial, operational, or ad hoc reports using spreadsheets and other finance systems Review transactions for accuracy and follow up on missing or incomplete information Assist with month-end close activities, including compiling support for assigned accounts and reports Conduct basic financial analysis and research to support team projects and process improvements Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records Communicate professionally with internal departments to gather information and resolve routine questions Support special projects, audits, inventory counts, or other finance-related assignments as needed Understand and comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable safety, quality, and food safety requirements Perform other duties as assigned by management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
Currently pursuing or recently completing an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field Prior internship, clerical, campus, or office experience preferred but not required Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook Exposure to accounting or ERP systems is helpful but not required
Knowledge of:
Basic accounting and finance principles Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and the ability to learn internal systems Accurately enter, review, and organize data with strong attention to detail Perform basic mathematical calculations and analyze information Communicate effectively in writing and verbally Demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and willingness to learn Plan, organize, and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 50 feet. repeatedly Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in wet, hot, cold, or dusty conditions Comfortable working around heavy machinery, chemicals, and confined spaces Ability to ascend and descent ramps, steps, ladders, and stairs using three-point contact

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
