Full-Time / In Person Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist to join our medical billing team. This is an in-person position, and the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing insurance follow-up, claim resolution, denial management, payment posting review, and ensuring timely reimbursement from commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers. Responsibilities Follow up on unpaid and denied insurance claims in a timely manner Review EOBs/ERAs and resolve claim discrepancies Submit corrected claims and appeals as needed Verify claim status through payer portals and phone calls Research and resolve underpayments and payment variances Work aging reports to reduce outstanding A/R balances Document all account activity accurately and thoroughly Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, and internal staff professionally Maintain productivity and accuracy standards Stay current with payer guidelines and billing regulations Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of medical billing and A/R follow-up experience preferred Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and managed care plans Familiarity with appeals, denials, authorizations, and modifier usage Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and prioritize workload Proficient with EMR/EHR and billing software systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience Spine, orthopedic, surgical, or specialty billing experience Experience with clearinghouses and payer portals Knowledge of revenue cycle management processes Benefits Competitive pay Paid time off Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Opportunities for growth and advancement How to Apply Please submit your resume and relevant experience for consideration.
