Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant to join a team in El Monte, California in a contract opportunity with permanent potential. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys managing day-to-day accounting activities while supporting accurate reporting and financial operations. The position offers the chance to contribute across core accounting functions, from transaction processing to financial analysis, in a fast-paced business environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily accounting activities by handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and routine bookkeeping tasks.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and financial records to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account analysis.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to assist leadership with business planning and decision-making.
  • Gather and organize documentation needed for tax filings and provide support during tax preparation activities.
  • Assist in developing budgets by compiling financial data and working with management on planning efforts.
  • Conduct internal reviews of accounting records and processes, and recommend improvements that strengthen controls and efficiency.
  • Help maintain compliance with applicable financial regulations and stay informed on current accounting standards and best practices.
