POSITION SUMMARY
The Dual Property Accounting Coordinator supports the day-to-day accounting and financial operations for two hotel properties, AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay and Hyatt Place LAX El Segundo. This role works under the direction of the Controller and assists in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with company policies, and efficient accounting processes. The Company operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; therefore, operational demands may require flexibility in scheduling, including varying shifts, days, and hours worked. The Campus Finance Coordinator is responsible for supporting financial transactions, maintaining records, assisting with reporting, and coordinating with hotel departments to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations. This position plays an important role in maintaining organization, accuracy, and consistency across both properties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Financial Operations & Reporting Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Support the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and budget tracking as directed by the Controller. Ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation. Accounts Payable & Receivable Process invoices, verify approvals, and ensure timely vendor payments. Assist with billing, collections, and account follow-ups. Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries regarding payments and account status. Cash Handling & Internal Controls Support daily cash handling procedures, bank deposits, and reconciliations. Ensure compliance with company internal controls, policies, and procedures. Assist in identifying and reporting discrepancies or irregularities to the Controller. Guest & Vendor Support Respond to billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate with front office and sales teams to ensure accurate guest and group billing. Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and internal departments. Compliance & Audit Support Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and reports. Ensure adherence to company policies, brand standards, and applicable regulations. Maintain confidentiality of financial and sensitive information. Administrative Support Prepare and distribute routine financial and operational reports. Maintain filing systems, logs, and accounting documentation. Assist with special projects and process improvements as assigned. Communication & Team Collaboration Work closely with the Controller and hotel leadership to support financial objectives. Communicate effectively across departments to ensure alignment on financial processes. Maintain a professional, service-oriented approach in all interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or hospitality finance experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills with professionalism and confidentiality. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. While performing job duties, the associate uses a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment. The role requires the ability to review documents, enter data, and communicate effectively.
