We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team.
Position:
Accounts Payable Specialist (with Construction experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with experience in the construction industry to support a fast-paced accounting team. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing, subcontractor compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume invoices, including vendor and subcontractor payables Perform three-way matching (invoice, purchase order, and receipt) Ensure accurate coding, data entry, and job cost allocation Manage subcontractor payments , including tracking compliance documents Maintain and process lien waivers, releases, and construction notices Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain AP ledger and support month-end close activities Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve invoice/payment issues Construction-Specific Duties Ensure compliance with lien laws, subcontract agreements, and pay application requirements Track and manage AIA billing, lien releases, and insurance documentation Support job cost accounting and project-based financial tracking Work with project managers to verify invoice approvals and project budgets Qualifications 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience (construction industry preferred) Strong understanding of full-cycle AP and high-volume processing Experience with construction/accounting software such as Procore, Titanium, and Sage Intacct Knowledge of job costing and construction accounting practices Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills Preferred Skills Familiarity with lien waivers, compliance tracking, and subcontractor documentation Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
