We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to support our accounting operations and help ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining organized records, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams in a fast-paced environment. Position Summary The Accounts Payable is responsible for processing invoices, managing payment transactions, and maintaining accurate records for all accounts payable functions. This position supports the accounting team while ensuring timely and accurate payments in compliance with company policies and affordable housing regulations. Key Responsibilities Invoice Processing & Payments Review and process vendor invoices for accuracy, coding, and approvals Prepare and issue payments for approved invoices via check or electronic transfer Maintain organized accounts payable files and documentation Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status and payment questions Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal departments Reconciliation & Reporting Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Assist with month-end accounts payable reporting and related accounting tasks Maintain accurate transaction records for audit and reporting purposes Support year-end processes including 1099 preparation and filing Qualifications Experience & Skills 1+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or a related administrative role Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software such as Yardi, QuickBooks, or similar platforms Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion Team-oriented mindset with strong customer service skills Why Join Us?
