Job Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist for our client in the HVAC industry in San Diego, California. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in billing, cash applications, collections, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely mannerPost customer payments and apply cash to open accountsMonitor aging reports and follow up on past-due balancesPerform collections activities while maintaining strong customer relationshipsReconcile accounts receivable balances and investigate payment discrepanciesAssist with month-end close related to receivables and cash receiptsMaintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentationRespond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account statusCoordinate with operations, service, and sales teams to resolve billing issuesHelp improve receivables processes and maintain internal controls
