Job Description

Description Robert Half is partnering with one of our valued non-profit clients, looking for an Accounting Clerk to support their team for 2 months. This is an onsite and part time role (3 days). The Accounting Clerk will provide transactional accounting support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, takes pride in accuracy, and values contributing to a mission‑driven organization. You'll work closely with the Finance Manager/Controller to support timely, accurate financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Process accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and data entry + Assist with accounts receivable, donor deposits, and payment posting + Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for transactions + Perform bank and credit card reconciliations + Enter journal entries and assist with month‑end close support + Maintain organized and compliant financial records (digital and physical) + Support grant tracking and restricted fund documentation (training provided) + Respond to internal finance inquiries and assist with ad hoc projects as needed Requirements
  • Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least 1-3 years of hands-on accounting experience, with nonprofit experience considered a plus.
