We are a fast-growing group of wholesale bakeries serving customers across the Bay Area. This is an exciting opportunity to build a unified finance system across multiple sites and help shape the future of our growing food business.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Sr. Finance Associate to assist in consolidating the financial operations of our bakeries under one parent company. This person will play a vital role in organizing accounting records, standardizing reporting, and helping ensure clean, accurate financials across all locations. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in small or medium-sized businesses, especially in food production, manufacturing, or wholesale operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in merging the financial records of multiple bakeries into the parent entity Clean up and standardize chart of accounts, cost categories, and bookkeeping practices Implement or improve inventory accounting, COGS tracking, and production costing Prepare monthly financial reports and statements across the group Track performance metrics for each bakery location Reconcile intercompany transactions and manage multi-entity consolidations Help manage or streamline payroll, AP/AR, and sales reporting systems Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning for the group
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-7 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in a multi-location or manufacturing setting Experience in wholesale food, bakeries, or small manufacturing is a strong plus Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software Experience consolidating multiple entities or merging accounting systems Working knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and payroll systems Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently CPA or working toward certification is a plus, but not required How to
