Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Watsonville. This role will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, preparing payments, and supporting the month-end close process. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting support.

Key Responsibilities:

Review, code, and process a high volume of vendor invoicesMatch invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentationPrepare and process check runs, ACH, and wire paymentsReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerRespond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationshipsAssist with month-end close, accruals, and AP reportingMaintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policiesSupport audits by preparing documentation and account detailsCollaborate with purchasing, receiving, and accounting teams as needed

Qualifications:

2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experienceStrong understanding of invoice processing, 3-way match, and payment cyclesExperience with ERP systems and Microsoft ExcelHigh attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAssociate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred

Preferred Skills:

Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or QuickBooks. (
