Adecco is assisting a customer in Whittier CA hiring for an Accounting Clerk The Accounting Clerk supports the daily operations of the Accounting Department by performing a variety of clerical and accounting tasks. This entry-level position is ideal for an individual who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to develop a career in accounting and finance. The Accounting Clerk will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, account reconciliations, and other administrative accounting functions. +
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process and enter invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Prepare and maintain accounting records, files, and supporting documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of financial information and identify discrepancies.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain vendor and customer records.
- Process customer payments and prepare bank deposits.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
- Assist with audits by gathering and organizing supporting documentation.
- Perform data entry and maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets.
- Support the Controller and Accounting team with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Sorting and FilingRequired Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous office, bookkeeping, or accounting experience is preferred. + Shift 7:30 am - 4:30pm + Pay range $23 - $25
