Job Description

Our client in Windsor, Connecticut is seeking a Contract Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in a fully onsite capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong accounts payable experience and a solid foundation in general accounting processes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger work, and accounting support, along with the ability to manage high-volume invoice processing and ensure timely, accurate payment activity.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficientlyMatch, batch, and code invoicesReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesAssist with check runs and electronic paymentsSupport month-end close activitiesMaintain and reconcile general ledger accountsPrepare journal entries and assist with account reconciliationsCommunicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment and invoice questionsEnsure compliance with company policies and accounting proceduresProvide additional accounting support as needed
