Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado on a temp-to-hire basis. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting responsibilities, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions. This is a long-term contract position within the manufacturing industry, offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process and verify accounts payable invoices, managing approximately 50 invoices per week.
- Handle vouchering functions and ensure accurate and timely payments, including checks and wire transfers.
- Maintain detailed records of financial outflows, such as check registers and cash worksheets.
- Generate and distribute accounts receivable invoices for shipments, creating 10-15 invoices daily.
- Accurately apply cash receipts and reconcile them with outstanding invoices.
- Manage and update depreciation worksheets and assist with maintaining fixed asset records.
- Collaborate with vendors to address and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Document all accounting activities meticulously, creating organized notes to facilitate team processes and knowledge sharing.
- Assist with additional accounting tasks and projects as assigned. Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in full charge bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and general ledger operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
