Accounting Assistant Schedule:
Monday-Friday, flexible 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM - 5:00
PM Position Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Specialist to join an established construction office team on a temporary-to-hire basis through the end of the year. This role will primarily focus on A/P functions, with additional A/R responsibilities. The ideal candidate is accurate, organized, trainable, and experienced in handling financial transactions in a fast-paced environment. Experience with QuickBooks is required, and bilingual Spanish/English candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable, including emailed invoices Enter and reconcile vendor invoices, including identifying and entering missing invoices Manage accounts receivable tasks as needed Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Communicate with vendors and customers via phone and email Process and apply credit card payments received via phone or email Conduct collection calls for accounts overdue by 60+ days Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Qualifications:
Previous experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable required Proficiency in QuickBooks (required) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication skills (phone and email) Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Trainable, dependable, and team-oriented Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a strong plus
Employment Type:
