Temporary Contract Location:
Fort Myers We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support the daily financial operations of a growing construction business in Fort Myers, Florida. This is a temporary contract position responsible for assisting with accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll support, and routine accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be dependable, accurate, and comfortable managing multiple administrative and accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities. Maintain accurate financial records and support routine accounting updates and journal-related tasks. Prepare and balance daily deposits and review daily revenue activity. Process lien notices, notices of intent, and lien releases for construction-related projects. Utilize QuickBooks for accounting and bookkeeping functions. Use Microsoft Excel to organize financial data, prepare reports, and support reconciliations. Support human resources functions, including: Assignment and tracking of gas cards Background checks Reconcile transactions and identify discrepancies in financial records. Assist with recurring accounting and administrative reporting tasks. Qualifications Must have experience in Liens, notice of commencement, Notice of Intent, Notice to Owner, and Release of lien. Construction industry experience is a big plus. Minimum of 1 year of experience as an accounting clerk, bookkeeping, or related finance support role. Experience with invoice processing, data entry, reconciliations, and journal entry support. Working knowledge of daily deposit preparation and balancing procedures. Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
