Fort Myers, FL Job Details Full-time From $22 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Attention to detail Organizational skills Business Administration Business Associate's degree Full Job Description Quality Life Center (QLC) is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, organized, and mission-driven Bookkeeper to support the organization's financial operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, tracking grant and program expenditures, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. The Bookkeeper will work closely with leadership to support sound financial management and stewardship of resources that advance QLC's mission. Duties Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including journal entries, invoices, expense reports, and financial transactions using QuickBooks Online. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely. Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations. Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Prepare monthly financial reports and supporting schedules for leadership and board review. Track restricted and unrestricted funds and monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with funding requirements. Reconcile donations received through fundraising events, sponsorships, online giving platforms, and donor management systems, including Network for Good. Collaborate with development staff to ensure accurate recording and reporting of donor revenue. Support payroll processing and maintain related records. Assist with annual audits, Form 990 preparation, and other financial reporting requirements. Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation. Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and other finance-related projects as assigned. Qualifications Associate's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum of three (3) years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, account reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting. Experience with nonprofit accounting, grant tracking, donor revenue reconciliation, and audit support preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
