Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with strong proficiency in QuickBooks and core accounting practices to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who excels at maintaining accurate financial records, balancing ledgers and checkbooks, and working extensively with spreadsheets. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations through precise bookkeeping and reconciliation processes. Key Responsibilities Manage daily bookkeeping functions including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation using QuickBooks (or similar accounting software). Perform bank reconciliations, checkbook balancing, and balance sheet reconciliations with a high level of accuracy. Maintain and balance the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and categorized. Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections. Prepare and maintain financial reports using Excel and other spreadsheet tools (e.g., income statements, cash flow reports, and reconciliations). Ensure accuracy in double-entry bookkeeping and compliance with GAAP standards. Assist with payroll processing, tax documentation, and financial recordkeeping. Support audits by organizing financial data and providing detailed reporting as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with strong hands-on experience using QuickBooks. Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, debits and credits, and account reconciliation. Experience with bank reconciliations, ledger balancing, and checkbook balancing. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management. High attention to detail with strong data entry and 10-key skills. Familiarity with payroll, tax processes, and basic financial reporting. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
